Gemma’s clear passion and belief in Scoff Paper had my attention from the moment she stepped into the Den.
Side note, I’m one of the only dragons who isn’t a dog owner. So, although Leo totally stole the show by being so adorable, at first I didn’t totally get Gemma’s pitch for edible greetings cards for dogs.
But it was her enthusiasm, drive and determination that grabbed my interest and compelled me to both make and offer and fight to win that investment. Because I thought she was amazing and I wanted to work with her.
Gemma’s story and the amount of sheer effort she’s put into growing the business showed that her company has real heart and purpose and as you know, I’m all about that.
And she has been an absolute delight to work with. We filmed this episode last summer and since then the business has been going from strength to strength. And I’m so incredibly excited to be part of the team!
