I was absolutely thrilled to see earlier that one of my investment companies – Psychic Sisters – was back on QVC and absolutely smashing it might I add!
You might remember Jayne from the last series (she was on the first episode pitching her crystal business) and I knew from a few moments after she started her pitch that I wanted to work with her.
So, for a bit of context – one of the things people say I bring to the table on Dragons’ Den is my ability to identify and develop those all important storytelling skills in others. After 20 years of working in TV shopping I know just how important it is to bring every product vividly to life for the customer.
And when I first heard Jayne talk so passionately about Psychic Sisters, I could tell straight away that she was a born storyteller and there was something there I could work with and develop successfully on TV.
She has such a passion for her product and I was so excited to work with her and coach her in those skills.
Fast forward to watching Jayne selling live on QVC recently she’s just an absolute natural in front of the camera and with every show she’s been getting better and better. It’s been wonderful to see!
