Zebedee, is the world’s first clothes-hanging system for sloped ceilings

Diane Challender came up with the idea  when she moved into a new home with attic rooms. She needed rails to make the best use of the space, but couldn’t find anything on the market, and as someone who has always been quite handy, in tackling any DIY or upcycling project, she set to work in coming up with her own solution.

After a few attempts, she developed a device that involved a spring and a rod which solved her problem perfectly. Realising she’d identified a gap in the market, and wishing to help other people with the same problem, she approached a local CAD engineer to visualise her idea, spent some time refining the unique brackets and coil, found a nearby firm to produce her initial products, secured patents and trademarks – and Zebedee was born.

The business, which officially launched in 2017, now boasts a range of easy to install Any Angle Clothes Rails in a wide variety of finishes and powder coated colors, with patented engineering allowing for maximum hanging space and strength. Zebedee is available to both consumers and a trade audience, such as interior designers, architects and house builders.
