We do love a creative TV show and so cannot wait for the Ultimate Wedding Planner to be on our screens.
The new BBC show, which starts next week, sees eight aspiring wedding planners battle it out to be crowned the Ultimate Wedding Planner, as six couples allow them to organise their big day.
Each week, the planners have just three days to make the couples’ wedding day dreams a reality. And the couples’ wish lists are ambitious, with themes including a 1950s vintage Hollywood glamour wedding, a Caribbean-infused autumnal fantasyland and a sustainable farmyard festival.
There’ll be plenty of crafty elements to enjoy as they create floral centrepieces, hand-crafted aisle runners and incredible light displays.
The contestants’ wedding day ideas will be judged by three experts – crafting queen and businesswoman Sara Davies, hospitality expert and First Dates star Fred Sirieix and wedding planner to the rich and famous Raj Somaiya.
“What I love about this show is that if you’re planning a wedding, you’ll get so many tips and ideas, so you’re going to love it,” says Sara. “Personally, I love good telly when it’s something I can watch with the whole family – my husband, my mum, grandma, with the kids – and this is that.
“It’s got so much warmth and you can’t help falling in love with the couples every single week and want the planners to succeed. It’s a real rollercoaster that you’re on with them every week.”
