Snow Going Back: Comic Relief vs. The Arctic will see four fearless celebrities take on the journey like no other in aid of Red Nose Day.
Sara Davies, Vicky Pattison, Alex Scott and Laura Whitmore will be pushed to the limit as they trek across the Arctic to raise life changing money for people in the UK and around the world.
The challenge, announced this morning, is the first ever all-female celebrity line-up.
Next week the team will travel to the start line of their four-day trek, 1,300 miles away on the edge of the Arctic Circle in Tromso.
The foursome will face the challenge of a lifetime; cycling, cross-country skiing and trekking across isolated, snow-covered wilderness towards the finish line.
With only eight hours of daylight each day and the constant threat of snowstorms, they will have to work together to endure brutal conditions, with hidden frozen lakes, fierce winds and temperatures plunging to -20.
Swapping home comforts for the unforgiving conditions of the tundra, the team will tackle terrain often used as training for British Special Forces. Pitching their own tents every evening, forgoing running water, heating or electricity and with food limited to dried rations.
Their extraordinary expedition will be filmed for a special BBC One and iPlayer documentary to air in the run-up to Red Nose Day on Friday, 15th March.
