Meet Billy, Head of Wardrobe at Dragons’ Den and a living legend at the BBC!
I really want to shine a light on some of the team who work tirelessly behind the scene to make that Dragons’ Den magic happen. Billy has been on the show since the very first series and he’s been responsible for dressing all of the Dragons over the last 20 years!
He’s one of the first ones in every morning as he’s busy ironing outfits and setting everything out in our dressing rooms. And he’s the last one out on an evening as he’s washing everything fresh for the next morning (as we have to wear the same clothes every day).
And Billy actually worked with me on Strictly too! He’s been working on that show since the dawn of time as well. And I can tell you he’s one of the most popular staff members with the cast every year. In fact he’s actually somewhat of a mini-celeb himself in the Strictly studio, just ask the other pros!
I really love our Billy and even though he’s in his 70s now he’s still working harder than ever on some of the biggest BBC productions. And he’s honestly one of the kindest, most caring human beings I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with!
