Good Wash Day

I was so inspired when Carla came into the Den because she proved that the world is your oyster at any age and it’s never too late (or early for that matter) to chase your dreams! And, I was able to make her an offer and that we were able to start our journey working together.

Carla shared with us how she spent two years completing a business degree and spent five years working for an ecommerce start up. Then, after embracing her natural curls in 2020, took the plunge and created Good Wash Day – hair towels and wraps crafted from 95% organic jersey cotton and 5% elastane.

Carla’s towels are designed to protect hair when it’s wet and at its most vulnerable, reducing friction, damage, frizz, drying time and static. And, the towels are less than a third of the weight of a regular towel making them more comfortable to wear.

Multi-award winning and Trichologist approved, Good Wash Day towels are now loved in 47 countries worldwide and sold via its website, Amazon and Etsy.

Sustainability runs through everything that Good Wash Day does, from fabric choices to packaging to waste reduction. Off-cuts are turned into reusable products for marginalised communities in Kenya and every month, Carla and the team gift towels to people in the cancer community, whose scalps can be sensitive and hair regrowth fragile and the company is a proud B-Corp
